It's been suggested that Permalac can be used to top coat bare metal? Can anyone please tell me the number of coats that are needed ? And how many gallons that will be needed for a 61 long bed truck? Any other tips do tell !
One gallon of any Epoxy Primer should be enough. Permalac is a lacquer, even though I've never used it for automotive purposes, I've heard that it good stuff for general items around the yard. But I wouldn't use it on a car.

..Why not it has UV and corrosion inhibitors and its made for bare metals....
