Bare Metal - How long can I wait to prime?

I just finished up getting the Nova to pristine bare metal. I used the Naval Jelly method from this site as my guide in the project. I wanted to primer with an epoxy primer yesterday, but ran out of time. Today it's raining with humidity around 90% and 30 degrees cooler. Wyoming weather for ya. Am I in any difficulty here? Hopefully I won't have to repeat any of this process. Thanks in advance for any thoughts/help on this.

With that much humidity I would bet its already started to get some surface rust already I'd get it primed and sealed ASAP, keep in mind I'm no body man I've just had similar things happen

Like Old school said your in fine shape, Spray a good wet coat and if your doing a second wait for an hour.

I had the vette doors stripped and its 83/w74% humidity The inside of the doors are steel and they were stripped Monday night, epoxied today and just cleared.

is the body inside? keep it dry and check before you spray. i try not to spray if raining but humidity won;t bother you juts lenghtens the dry times. use the proper ruducers for the temps and your good.

If you used naval jelly it may have left a phosphate coating to protect for a short duration. Before you prime give it a good rub down with a red scotchbrite- this will remove any light surface rust just before you prime. If you don't have the time to properly prep the whole car at one time then do a few panels at a time. Better to take your time and do it right than to rush it and have to redo it later. Bob

Thanks for the help - everyone. I kept the car inside, so it was not exposed to the weather at all. I looked it over closely, then wiped it down with a good cleaner. I shot two good, wet coats of epoxy primer, and it looks great all one color for a change. Now for the minor filler needed to make it level.
