Been watching all afternoon & keep getting outbid in my 'virtual' bank balance... Really liked the Lightweight Belvededre Wedge...... And the 49 Ford with the Cammer in it...
Oh well....back to the real world & the Grand National Roadster Show tomorrow Anyone else going? I have a 'Cam Twisters' Club Jacket, if you see me....say Hi!

I saw as little of it when they we're talking to Alice Cooper, but then went on by. Those toys are way too expensive for me. Makes my hard earned stuff look like crap. But then I actually built mine, not just bought it. If they had to build one it probably never would be built.

The, "Dream are made of program". People with very deep pockets. What do you think, collectors? Do you think that $80k corvette will ever see the road again? Almost like watching people buy very old furnature to put on display in their Mansions.

I still love watching that auction even if I could never afford any vehicle in it.Just to have that many "un-touched"classics in one place. If someone can afford to put 100K into a car,the more power to them(Even if its never going to be driven again.)At least it's not sitting in a field rotting away waiting for someone to restore it,You know the guy who never does anything with it but won't sell it.

I love watching this auction, I was supposed to be there this year as a "looky Lou" but it didn't work out, next year. Some of these cars are fantastic, they should be museum pieces for the upcoming generations to see. And some are just nicely restored cars, rich people owning them for bragging rights, which is ok with me also, at least they're buying something cool, not blowing their money on yachts, fur coats, that kind of crap. When I hit the lottery (snickers from the wife)I'll be there buying...lol. Dan <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />

Can you just walk the grounds? If so what does it cost? I was watching again last night and they said to actually get into the auction area it can on certain night cost $1250, thats crazy. I would kill to go there and see the cars, which by the way I never said I had the money to buy these cars either. Just cool to see, and hearing the history of the cars.
