Barrett-Jackson --shelby cobra--$5,000,000.

Barrett Jackson just sold a Shelby Cobra, There was only 2 specially built, and this one was the one that Carroll Shelby owned.
$5,000,000 is the new record,

"The Cobra to end all Cobras"

Not really, if someone wants to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for a Shelby, fine but I'll still think they're not quite right in the head for throwing out so much of their money for a car they won't even drive.

They shell out so much money because they know that they will probably be selling it for more than what they paid for it. Especially if they dont drive it.

I think if they are only a few left or a never touch car. Them Its what ever ones willing to pay for it. The think is there being grabed up and soon they will be all gone. So if you got anything cool better set on it. Could be your retirement money some day.

Lot of people have more money than sense. The buyer will sell the car for more than he paid for it in the future why? Read the first sentence.

Hard as it may be for some of us to believe $5,000,000 is just not all that much money to some folks

Carroll Shelby will probably sue the owner to get 'his' car back like he is apparently doing with someone that owns a 69 GT500 he used to own.

I beleive Barret Jackson is gonna be short lived I hope as they are ruining the hotrod industry, making any normal run of the mill car unattainable for any of us, what do you think?

BJ is not effecting a lot us because we build our own. We don't go out a buy one ready to drive away (at least looks that way). It may be more difficult to get that old beat up fixer-upper that many of us have started with, but in the overall scheme of things, I don't think I'll ever feel the sting of BJ.
