Barry grant jr surging

Can you help me . I just rebuilt a used bg jr 625 carb for my Keith craft 306 in my cobra .it started and runs fine but it surges while normal driving through the gears

Check the fuel pressure. Shoot for 5 to 6 psi max.

after float level and timing is perfected,try going up 2 jet sizes on primary side

Sometimes 'carb problems' aren't actually the carb's fault. Surging can also be caused by too much ignition advance.
