Advantages for activator in base:

*Makes the color fasting a lot better long term,
*Helps stabilize metallics.
*Increases durability of base form 50-300% (depending on base and activator used)
*Helps prevents lifting or swelling of base if you need to repair a fresh spot.
*The increase protection against stone chips increased by a wide margin.
*Adhesion of clear is increased by a big margin.
*Better wet sanding of base if needed.
*Black being the slowest drying color (carbon conduces electricity)
activator will help to kick out the solvent, as with certain reds and yellows.

Cannot put activated base back in can or mixed should be used inside of 6-8 hours. The activator will not dry the base at the 10% NOC'S, rate the bases are set up with, like it will clear BUT Iso's suck water and if used a few days later you could get pinholes of base or what looks like dirt in paint job.

Do check with your company on usable pot-life and clear maximum re-coating time as sometimes the activator can shorten or lengthen that time.
