I have to say ICAR says over and over and over and over, Follow the manufacturers recommendations! It is their line at the end of every guide line in every manual and ever class that they will say over and over, and over, and
over. I went to an "Advanced systems" class once (ABS, SRS) and I wrote in the book I got from the class every time the instructor said "Follow the manufacturers guidelines" and I still laugh when I open it up as it is on EVERY PAGE.
