Basting Tape

Has anyone ever used basting tape when sewing up an interior? Any opinions on it's use? Thanks, Elleka

Are you talking about the double faced tape that is used instead of pinning things together? I never use it for anything, but it won't hurt anything if you use it, it will just take a lot of time to apply it.

Yep, that's what I'm referring to. Wondered if the adhesive may possibly stain the materials. I'll be using ultraleather substitute and either tweed or faux suede for the contrasting panels and headliner. I'm also having a difficult time finding the contrast color I like: very dark charcoal. Any suggestions there?
