Yeah you can get a spray for your terminals. I have lil can somewhere I bought at the auto parts place. I cant recall the name but I applied it years ago and it has lasted and lasted.

They used to say, if you put a penny on it, the corrosion wouldn't happen....................
Clean it and put some grease on it.

Doc here,
Check the battery POST..where it enters the battery.. I'll bet you'll find a small crack right at the base of the terminal.. If that IS the case, Clean it, use a little baking soda, and patch it with Hydroseal..That should stop the corrosion. Doc

Make a thin paste with 1/4 baking soda and a bit of water and let it sit for about 10 minutes, and wipe away those nasty buildups.

This can also be a sign of a battery that is starting to fail. If it needs to be charged a lot from teh alternator then it tends to emit more gas from the acid and corrodes the terminals. if it is more than 3 years old I would just change it.
