Post BB Chevy Heads MERLIN vs PRO TOPLINE

Hey guys, I have the bottom end all together of my 496 cu. big block. But when I was ordering my heads I was calling about the Merlin VR race heads 310 runners with 2.25intake and 1.88 exhaust with guide plates and roller valve springs. For about 1900 bucks. But he suggested that they weren't the best heads for me. He said that Merlin heads have not been a great success for them. That customers have complainned about poor performance. And that they were discontinuing them. But he recommended Pro Topline Heads. I have never heard of them but he said they were made by Dart or designed like them. But he says with these heads I would gain 40-50 more HP than the Merlins. And they are about 200 bucks cheaper. And the only difference is they come with 320 intake runners instead of 310. So what are your comments this. He actually wants to sell me something cheaper, rather than make the commission sale. So I wonder is he telling the truth or trying to promote a new product!
GEORGE

Both.

He will still collect his share of commission. I'm sure.

The Pro Topline heads are exact copies of the Dart heads, they are made in New Zealand and work excellent, they have few maintenance problems or faults. Cheaper too!
