Post BB swap into '97 GMC 1500??

Hey Guys. I've got a Chevy 427 (Gen 6 I think??) tall block crate motor (long block) sitting on the engine stand. It is a new, never started well lubed engine. My '97 GMC 1500 (5sp, 4wd) is nearing the 100,000 mile mark and I am possibly considering this swap if the Vortech 350 takes a dump.

Has anyone done a swap like this?? My main concerns are getting the correct EFI intake and will it bolt to the 5sp. All input is appreciated!

not to burst your bubble but almost every vortec 350 ive seen lasts 190k+ miles.

anyway the mounts, bellhousing pattern, and all that are the same. i do know the computer will be different but im not sure if the wiring is(88-95 all engine wiring was the same whether it was v6, 305, 350, 454) but i dont know about the vortec stuff. id seriously fear for the life of the transmission too.
