BBBuick into FBODY

Has anyone performed a BBB or Olds swap into 2nd generation F body? I got an OLDs and Buick 455s and figured I'd drop one in. Any preference?

Can't speak to the Buick swap, but the Olds swap is a bolt-in. Use the motor mounts for a 403 Trans Am and any 1964-1990 Olds V8 bolts right in. These mounts are unique in that there is a metal bracket that bolts to the block that attaches to the regular Chevy clamshell mounts on the frame.

Is the metal bracket a special adapter that would need to be obtained from a junkyard, or is it a parts store part? I already have what I believe is the chevy clamshell mounts from a small block I got from a 78 Impala. This metal bracket adapts the olds engine to Chevy mounts?

I assume the late 70's to early 80's Old's 307/350 mounts from full size BOP will not work on Firebird even though they are used on the same Olds small block?

It's a parts store part. $6 brand new for a 403 olds-powered firebird motor mount on rockauto.com
