GM does not post flow numbers for those heads. With semi open chambers flow numbers may be missleading. I would assume they flow as good as most aftermarket heads if not better. and way better than any stock casting that came out back in the day on production car.

What is your goal.

Not sure of the spec of the 177 i googled for it but didnt find air flow specs. But it looks like it support 600-700 hp. If your looking for 800 plus better head towards a 8-71 style blower. But at that range stock block may not be able to take the power.

I think the heads will do the job. If you wanted 700 hp withput boost i would say they are too small and ypu wpuld need an all put race head but i think what you got should do the job. But i cant say for sure since i do not have the specs. I understand that is why you are here looking as well. Sorry i couldnt be more helpful.

I can tell you bowties for small chevy are good heads and will support 500+ hp under boost i cant imagine the big block heads wont do even better. Sorry for the useless info you probably already knew. Hope it helps.

if these flow numbers are accurate then a blown engine with these heads could produce up to 1,000 hp

Have fun.Just remember those flow numbers are with a 4 1/2 inch bore, your numbers will be a little lower with 4 1/4 bore.
No reason you couldnt port them, especially on the exhaust side for your application.
