bbc cam upgrade

I got a 540 BBC with a 684 lift 316 duration cam I need to replace the cam after shearing off the bolts and breaking a lifter I have enough room for 780 lift but don't want that much I was thinking 720-730
range any suggestions

Got More info like head, comp ratio, run alot of nitrous, na setup etc..

who built the 540? is it a roller motor?lift is just 1 aspect of the cam

It,s 13.5 comp brodix BBC2 xtra heads built by dower race engines .I run a liberty clutch type 5 speed in a 77 firebird that weighs 3400 lbs 514 gears 29.5x 13w slicks and 114 octane race gas

If the engine was making the power you wanted at or close to the RPM you wanted,then make a slight change to reflect your needs
add 4 to 6 degrees or add .030 lift to raise RPM about2-3 hundred RPM,keeping same icl/lda

Need cam specs and head flow,not 316 degrees which im sure are advertised duration. Opening and closing points and lobe separation to name a few. Lift is matched to head flow.
