BBC Crank Question

I have a chance to buy a complete BBC for a good price. My question is it has a cast crank. I am wanting to build atleast a 489 maybe a 496. I am going to be using it for Mudd Bogging. My question is should I use the cast crank or should I buy a forged crank. I plan on turning around 6800-7200 on the rpm side. I have heard horror stories about using cast cranks at such high rpm's. ANy help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

Chris

At that rpm and horse power level I wouldn't even consider a cast crank. They are usually pretty stout but why take a chance, you loose a crank at 7000 rpm and you loose the whole engine.
