BBC engine code suffix

I have a 396 block casting number 3955272 which shows it to be a 1969 block for passenger, Chevelle, Camaro, or Chevy II. The Engine code is T1227XAN. I can't find anything on a XAN suffix. I have looked on several web sites also in Chevy By the numbers. any help would be appreciated

the always first thing to try when you can't fing a matching set of numbers or dodes off a block is to look again and see if you made a mistake lol know offense but it just happens I think last time I wrote down a code I went back 2 more times and it kept changing.
I also say this because I found some code starting with and x an its harder to mess up an x compared to of letters, and it came up with 1968 truck L-66 310 or 275HP and thats not surprising to find a one year earlier block in the year of the car

Thanks! More Questions???

Yeah I know what you are saying. I looked at the code a lot. I have magnified it,rubed it, wire brushed it, and everything. I am sure it is a XAN suffix. So you are saying it is a truck block. The casting number says it is a 69 car block. Did they put car blocks in trucks? Where do you find truck block suffix code info?
Thanks
