bbc head casting number 292
i`m buying a 402 bbc and the heads are casting number 292. i`ve heard of these before but don`t know anything about them. are they the "peanut port" or standard oval port? thanks,

From the info I get they are the standard oval port heads.

thats the same info i got from mortec.com. i`m hopeing that "standard oval port" means not the peanuts. i`m going to look at it next monday so i haven`t seen the heads yet but from what the guy tells me it`s in pretty decent shape. i know the 049 and 781 heads are the ones to have but i know there are others that have the same port size. i`m just hopeing that i won`t have to get new heads. thanks,

No, the peanut ports are smaller, according to my info, the standard ports are the standard size and not the small peanut port heads.
