BBC intake id - already tried mortec - help!

I just got a bbc intake for my '73 454 Corvette. I was told it was off a '70 396 Chevelle. Once i got it home and started to clean grundge off it i found the following numbers: J1478 = Jan.,June,July 14 1978? and 485839. Looked at mortec and a couple other sites and i can find this number. What is it off and will it work on a '73 454 Corvette? Help me id it before i send it to machine shop to clean it up. Thanks, Todd.

Yes that's it! Any idea what it's from and will it work on a '73 corvette? Thanks, Todd.

I would not even PAY the freight on it ... to TN.
Nothing special and all the wrong casting numbers and codes for a Corvette.

Just my dime.
