BBC in a motorhome

a friend on mine has a BBC in a motorhome. its original and its a 1988. did they put tall blocks in the motorhomes or were they short blocks like in a car? he claims its a 454 but i thought if it was a tall deck it would be a 427. its raining like hell outside so im not going over there to climb around and pull the casting number or suffix code. i was just wondering if anyone knoew if Rvs were tall or short.

I think the BIG motor homes and heavy trucks had tall deck blocks.
No doubt you will have to confirm by numbers or measurement.
"Experts" can tell by looking at the distance from the water pump to the head deck.

What he said. +1

To get a 366T or 427T you had to go larger than a 1-ton chassis, or in a few rare occassions they showed up in commercial one-ton step vans on the "P" platform. The motorhome is most likely on a G30 chassis, so 454.
