BBC no spark

well, the big day came and went, and i wasn't talking about xmas! lol....well, i went to fire my new engine and nothing. ( just a few turns, fuel bowls are full, fuel in lines, engine tdc, oiled, ect.) it shoulda fired right up, so i checked spark and nothing.i got the distributor from a friend, and i remember looking at it and saying i should replace the module, capacitor at least, but never did. it did appear to have gotten wet, i should have just bought a whole new dist. like i wanted to anyway. just to make sure, isnt it "batt " hookup on dist. switched 12v? ( i did test switched 12v at terminal ) anyway ill be testing other components tomorrow

yeah, its got 12v at terminal, im sure its prolly the module or something under rotor. i guess i dont mind, i really did need to change a spring anyway, this gives me that chance ( sooner advance ) 55$ huh? damn, i feel foolish for trying to resurect this old dist. well it has to come out anyway, are them new msd dist all set up? or do you have to go through them and set them all up? ( like all the parts in a bag? )

crossed wire

well, little recap, engine fired today, after finding out that the wire i was using for switched 12 volt at dist. wasn't correct. ( purchased truck with most wires butchered ) tested 12 volts switched ok, but for some reason would not stay that way ??( no spark ) whatever, i found the correct wire and alls good in the hood!
