Bear claw Latches

I'm working on a 1936 Chevy truck. Although the factory door latches work well they will not allow me to lock the right door.
After I bought a set of small bear claw latches I realized that I wont have a lot room for my factory handles to operate the bear claws if I mount them where the factory latches are.
I could mount them lower on the door but this would require more patching on both the doors and jambs.
the bottom line question is if I use a remote power door opener should I also install a remote door lock?

If you wanted to run with no door handles, you would have to have remote locks, otherwise you could not lock the doors. but if you had no door handles you would not have to lock your doors, unless you have a remote door button that is easy to find. They have the kits tat one FOB will control several functions you could use one of them. I have one for my 33 that controls seven functions on one Fob. Mount one box, it will control my doors, window, locks, trunk, I can't tell you how much they are as I was given mine for helping a friend wire his car.
