New to this thread but you may have to explain to him just how to find TDC to set up the timing tape. Also, the balancer will have to be totally clean (no paint, etc.) to get the tape to stick. Remember that he is stuck on the pointer and balancer not lining up. Unless he knows what engine the front cover came off of he can order balancers all day long a may not get the correct one for his application.
