A beautiful fall day.

It's a great, warm fall day out today. Had to get the old 38 DeSoto out. The oldest boy and I took her for a spin yesterday. I even let him drive once so I could see what it looked like going down the road. It was awsome seeing something you completely tore apart and recreated go down the road under it's own power. My in-laws are coming over later and I get to let my mother-in-law see it run. She thought I'd never get it going again. I really have to get this thing street legal in the spring. It's a hoot to paly with.

Cargazmic 38 !!!!! It was a great fall day. Can stay like this till xmas. Seeing your pics gets my blood boiling to get my '46 back on the road. 2 1/2 yrs is too long. Suffering from kruzin' withdrawls. Will have that remedied in the spring. Keep the order up for good weather. You've done great so far. Just north of you across the big pond. Good luck on the downward stroke of your project. Don't you just love it when you can make the inlaws eat crow. LOL Cheers!!

Looking great 38! Hey that rhymes!

I went down to the local ham/amateur radio store to pick up a sealed battery for my UPS and found a nice Uniden scanner for cheap in the used equipment section. Picked it up, another mount and added a 2nd 4ft antenna on my truck for it. Been listening to police radio all day

I also got around to washing it again, my poor truck was turning pink it had so much road grime on it

All in all a good day

Yep! A great day. Even took the in-laws for a short spin in'er. Both are in they're early 70's and they loved it. Told them the next time I give them a ride in it we go out cruizing for an evening dinner. They were up for it. My mother-in-law was amazed I've been at it for so long and have it enjoyed it so much. She got as big kick out of it, think it made her feel young again. Gotta Love It!!!!!!

Here's another pic of the wife and I taking her out for an illegal spin. Yes the nose does lean forward a bit. I don't have the nose/hood side supports on yet. That Camaro quick steering makes that big car turn really fast. Seems you should turn the wheel a couple of times before the tires should move but it's very responsive to the steering wheel. Gives it a really cool feeling when you drive it. There's snow on the ground today so my work is done for awhile on her. The only thing I may do over the winter is smooth out fenders trunk etc. and get it ready for paint in the early spring. Who knows if I get too bored over winter I might get paint on before that. This pic was taken last month the day before Halloween.
