Bedford Rat Rod?

I was wandering around the local truck wreckers the other day when i saw this old Bedford sitting right up the back of the yard.

It looks like it was driven there and just left sitting, all the glass is intact and there's only a few rust spots... surprisingly. the guy only wants $500 so i was thinking it might make a good cab for my rat rod pick up project.

what do you guys think ???? have you ever seen something like this used before?

I think it would be pretty cool.. I have not seen anything like that done before.. Even better reason to do it.

Ive done a bit of googleing and only found a few hot rods built out of these cabs, they look pretty cool http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...z411/012-2.jpg

I think i'll get it, $500 isnt that much of an investment . only i have no idea how to get it out of the back of a truck wreckers yard haha

Im hoping that i'd be able to use the original chassis, just with a few modifications to get it a bit lower. and shorten the back end to make it more pick up sized.
