beehive retainer locks, issue ?

hello

i have comp cams beehive springs and retainers, 7deg. comp told me i could use the stock locks. with the valve, retainer and locks assembled (not in the head with springs), the locks stick up above the retainers about .100". the stock locks/retainers, the locks are flush/even. is this normal ?

Sometimes when you install the retainers they neet to be seated. as long as they arent sticking above the contact area for the rockers there shouldnt be any problems. just make sure you have the retainers in the grove where they are supposed to be.
