if you find the "kit" your talking about... (ive never seen one, ive just fabbed the pieces i need) make sure you clean that thing really well. hopps will clog a filter and destroy fuel pumps quick.

I'd fill it with Beer and us a real gas tank, when you get pulled over, just tell the cop it's your gas tank.

i think this guy has the idea.... why not just run straight moonshine?
talk about double bang for the buck!

you can even install a ball valve before the fuel regulator to above the drivers seat... and if you get pulled over for drinking an driving, explain to the judge that you were testing your fuel!

no joke... the moonshiners figured that stuff out in 1940... and rumour has it that some people around here are making 'shine for fuel... Appalachia has a different hot rod tradition than California..

You mean one of these?

This one has been squirreled away in my garage for 30 years.
It is on my short list of old hot rod parts that I need to ebay.

Funny thing I just scored a 15.5 Schlitz keg this weekend that has been a gas tank. Now I am not sure why. It is still ugly and takes up way too much room. Makes me think of green shag carpet for some reason. Maybe I'll use it under the bed of my 69 crewcab for a saddle tank.
