Hi all, forum newbie here...looks like a cool place to hang out!
I thought it would be cool to do a couple "VIRTUAL KUSTOMZ", here are some before and after shots....(Photoshop rules!)
51 Merc Before...
VERY SAD!

51 Merc After.....
Looks sweet...chopped ...channeled...powered by a 383 stroker chevy...turbo 350 tranny...still in primer...leather and tweed interior...you get the idea..

Next..And another "VIRTUAL KUSTOM"
51 Ford (Shoebox)
Before.....
Not a bad candidate!

After........

Slammed to the ground....18" wheels...powered by a 460 ford with a C4 tranny....9" rear...MustangII front suspension...billet steering column...kustom white face guages ala Cobra.....

And....Here's another..It's a 1955 Ford RanchWagon
Before......

And After
Powered by a Chevy 502 crate motor..Row thru the gears with a Muncie m22 "Rockcrusher" transmission...Airbags for "that just right" stance...The leather interior was replaced with tweed after passenger complaints of sliding around on the seats during hard cornering..hehe..

My plans?....I was trying to sell it. The first guy to reply was a liar/wussy and held me up on a deal that I could've completed 2 weeks ago. Anyways, a guy about an hour from here is trading me an old car and some $$$.
Can't complain yet I guess, we'll see next weekend.

Yeah,me too.
This was my grandfathers truck since it was pretty much new.In a round about way I ended up the 2nd and 4th owner of it.
I would love to keep it and rod it out someday....but I have to many irons in the fire now.Work, work on house, work on Chevelle(hahaha),work on working on something, and what doesn't work have to try to make it work
Seriously though, I feel like I have worked at a plan on this trade for this other car (49Ford).
Then I will try to finish my family room so I can get the tools out of the house and the furniture out of the garage.
The "million-piece" Chevelle WILL get returned to the inside of my garage before winter. Then I'll have an exuse not to go anywhere for my Xmas Shutdown this year..
Shhhhh....you hear that?! Yeah it's just me ramblin' on!
Later(for now)

Weimer, I'd say the swap for the '49 is worth it. I had a '50 that was tricked out to the max. My first real custom that I liked. If you do end up getting it I'd be glad to help with anything you may need since I've done it already. I'd love to have anotherone one day unless I can find a Merc, but thats a fat chance so lemme know, be glad to help.

Viking, you really a viking? Heh, nice work, I bet it helps on your prodjects as well as others to see what it would look like before you put the work into it. I do mine the old fashioned way, pencil and paper, I'm to old to learn the new stuff, don't have the paitents if I did. Keep it up.
