Hi all, forum newbie here...looks like a cool place to hang out!
I thought it would be cool to do a couple "VIRTUAL KUSTOMZ", here are some before and after shots....(Photoshop rules!)
51 Merc Before...
VERY SAD!

51 Merc After.....
Looks sweet...chopped ...channeled...powered by a 383 stroker chevy...turbo 350 tranny...still in primer...leather and tweed interior...you get the idea..

Next..And another "VIRTUAL KUSTOM"
51 Ford (Shoebox)
Before.....
Not a bad candidate!

After........

Slammed to the ground....18" wheels...powered by a 460 ford with a C4 tranny....9" rear...MustangII front suspension...billet steering column...kustom white face guages ala Cobra.....

And....Here's another..It's a 1955 Ford RanchWagon
Before......

And After
Powered by a Chevy 502 crate motor..Row thru the gears with a Muncie m22 "Rockcrusher" transmission...Airbags for "that just right" stance...The leather interior was replaced with tweed after passenger complaints of sliding around on the seats during hard cornering..hehe..

MYNAMEIZCARLOS, where did you get Photoshop from. I went to download.com and it took like 9 years. Then when it got done, it would'nt load anything or let it save onto my computer. Whats the name of the site???

hey guys-that is one EXTREMLY long thread. i just now started reading the discusion forum and it took me over thirty min to read this entire thread. i got to tell you-im a little behind on the computer thang and what you guys are doing is totally killer. the thought of creating a car by your imagination without spending money has got to be a sin. if you guys are looking for something different (dont shoot me) lets see what a maxed out 3rd generation camaro looks like. i dont think i have ever seen one customized before.

Ok, the way I lower the cars and give them new wheels....first you have to get the original car that you are going to use, out of the picture. There are many ways to do this with PS (Photoshop). The way that works best for me is to use the "Extract" command, located in the "filters" menu on PS7. Then you can just copy and paste it, or drag and drop it to the pic that you want to use the wheels from. Sometimes the car will cover up the car that is under it, sometimes you have to do a little creative erasing or use the clone tool to replace parts of the car with the background to hide it. Once your car you are working on is on top of the pic with the wheels you want to use, you can move it anywhere you like..because it is on it's own "layer" (layers are your freinds!)That is a rough idea on how I do it...like I said there are many many ways of doing things with PS...I hope i made some sense, it's 5AM and I haven't finished my coffee yet..hehe
