I have Paint Shop Pro 7 and have tried numerous times to paint my car cherry black with terrible results. I just can't seem to get the hang of it.
Is there any way in the world, if I asked nicely and added please-please-please, that somebody could either try a paint job, or give me tips that would enable me to try with a little better results...?

Hey Crazy Mopar Guy, how's this work for you? It's just a quickie that I did, but it should help give you an idea of how it'll look, but it may still be a bit too red.

I'm not sure about Paint Shop (I haven't played with it in years), but this was done in Photoshop 7.
Since you're car's in various stages of paint, the way I did it was to take the body and desaturate it so it's in greyscale. Then each individual body panel is put on it's own layer and graded to match the others. At that point, you can flatten the layers and adjust the color from there. I turned it to a red color, then put a layer of semi-opaque black over it. From there, I used the eraser in certain areas, added black with the paintbrush in others, then used some after effects to give it a shiny look. It still feels a flat to me, but like I say, it was just a quick doodle. |

hey viking.. do ya think you can do me a 65 chevy pickup?.. if you need a pic.. ther should be some in my gallery.. and thers lots online.. see if u can drop it flat black.. on some white rims.. and maybe a cool cowl..

i was just wanting to know what it would look like with white rims.. use your imagination.. try to get.. different rims and different paint jobs on it.. maybe see what it is chopped..
