72 chevy, I would suggest sending Jon a PM with any info about Malibu's posts. He has asked us to not delete posts but to refer them to him.

Don't delete posts or threads. Just move them to the Dump. If something contains remarkably offensive content, let me know.

This was a quote from Jon. Sorry, I would love to help you. Don.

It must be frustrating to sit and look at those posts and wonder why the admin doesn't just step in and quickly delete them. I realize it happens more quickly at other boards.

After someone alerts me to a post, if I think it warrants editing, I'll communicate with the offending member in an effort to get him or her to edit the post without my intervention. 9 times out of 10, we'll come to an agreement, and that member will agree to edit the post.

Even though deleting a post is a 5 second task for an admin or a mod, I'll sometimes spend days trying to resolve an issue with a member over PM's or emails. The post sits there on the board, and the drama level rises. But the end result is that the member often agrees to edit their own post, and they get a chance to fix their own mistake. We have some members here who have made good on that chance, and because of that, have become important parts of our community.

This wasn't one of those times. I tried. Failed. The post was bound to be forcibly edited, especially as moving this most excellent thread to the Dump would have been a travesty.

Some people come in here and insult us, and lie to us, and treat us like crap. And we still try to make good with them, and give them another chance, and do everything we can to turn them into hotrodders. When every effort at a peaceful resolution fails, we edit or delete posts. Force is a last resort.

Case closed. Let's check out more of those virtual kustomz -- those v-dubs bring back some great memories :D .

HA HA AH Ah HA AH A HhAhhA HHAhhahhahaahahahahah! Thanks Weimer I truly really needed a good laugh! I always wonder why people have to be so mean to others. why is it some of us are peace makers whenever possible but still willing to stand up for ourselves and our countries and our neighbors and others are just plain mean or evil not caring about others feelings? Glad he's gone. Think what kind of home life his family has living with him. BTW before I go. Babe we all Love yuh! And Weimer. That's one of the most hideous yet laughable things I've seen. Now one more thing, "Get that stinking camel out of here!" Hahahahahaahahahahah!LOL :D ROTHL

I was just teasin, I've been dying to do that and you just happened to be the unlucky guy that made the next request.

P.S. the name isn't "dragon"wgn...Do I look like a D&D nerd or something...do you see Connan the Barbarian painted on the side of my 78 econoline? It's "dragin'", you know...like drag racing or even dragin' like scrapin' but not dragon.

...But seriously folks, I haven't posted a picture of a car here in a while (except for my stunning rendition of kitkar's lincoln), but here is my concept rendering of the 53 DeSoto I may soon be aquiring. Here it is, a 53 DeSoto two door post, chopped (way more in the back than in the front) and given I kind of fast back look. You can't see it, but I would put a '50 merc back glass in it. You can see the profile of the 56 packard tail lights, shaved door handles and hood, gotta leave the side trim though, can't get any better than that, and that grille...wow, why get rid of a thing like that? Those wheels aren't 22s...not 20s...not even 18s...those are good old fashiod 15 inch wheels with dog dish hubcaps and bias ply g-78s. Yeah, I know...no skirts, but I kinda like it, goin for a change. I didn't spend as much time on the back ground as some other guys do (cough ZZfourd cough), but that car won't be sittin there for long. No sir, that baby will be rolling down the highway in no time.
