In the begining PART 2 LOL
If you read my thread "In the begining" , you will know that I broke that motor.
I have now gotten ahold of another 350 TBI . This one has already been carbed with a Edelbrock on a edelbrock performer intake. And was in a truck and I heard it run. $300 and the kid I got it from removed it and delivered to me. I think I did OK.
Now just a little clean up, change a few things and I'll be movin' again :D

Great news, I got that motor installed and after changeing the wireing for HEI I got it fired up. Got 60lbs. of oil pressure at 1100 rpms neutral idle.
Drove it out of the garage and after fiddlin' with it for awhile I backed her back in under her own power after 55 years of sitting !

I was a little dissappointed when I saw white smoke coming out of the drivers side tail pipe ! Thought all kinds of bad stuff. Then , while putting on some exhaust tips I found lots of moisture in the drivers side tailpipe !
What could it be? Head gasket, intake gasket, cracked block etc., etc. So, I did a compression test after the motor had sat for 3 days.
Plugs were dry !

I found nothing to show a coolant leak.
So, then it hit me. The motor I broke pumped a lot of coolant into #3 hole. Guess where it went ? Out the exhaust. Must be a lot of coolant in the muffler and pipes. Wonder how long this will take to burn off.
Anyway, I'm glad I didn't start tearing it apart yet. :drunk:
