Bell Housing on Ford Automatic Transmission
 

Does anyone know what the last year was that Ford used the Bell Housing that unbolted from the Automatic transmission? :confused: You can also respond to btullock@charter.net

Removable Ford automatic bellhousings were found on the C3, C4, and C5. The C3 is probably too weak for any hot rod uses. The C4 is a favorite of racers for it's durability and simplicity (it's light too). The C5 replaced the C4, but it is essentially the same tranny with a lock-up converter added. The C5 was last produced in 1986 (I think).
