Bellhousing
I'm just curious what bellhousings are compatable for a 64 model 289 or a 292?

Ford changed the Small block bolt pattern The 221 -260 bell housings are different than 302' I "am not sure when the small block changed I know later 289 are the same as 302, I am not sure about. early 289's. early Ford 239-272 292 312 Y blocks are an entirely different family . The Y block machinery was used in the manufacture of the small blocks so some dimensions are the same. with some welding and machine work a Y block truck forged steel crank can be made to work in small block.
