Post bellhousing on a 305

did gm ever change the blot pattern on 305 bell housing if so when and is a marnie block the same as a auto?

I ran into this when trying to swap TH350s. I found out there is a GM pattern (Olds, Pont, Buick), and a Chevrolet pattern. The Chev pattern will bolt to anything, but the GM is 2 holes shy for the Chev blocks.
