I have a '55 Chevy BelAir and my exhaust is complete with the exception of my tailpipes.
I have purchased these Flowmaster 2 1/2" tailpipes:
I have now decided I would like to have the tailpipes exit at an angle just behind the rear tires instead of straight back.
If I take these to a muffler shop and have them bent and installed, is that going to cause a restriction that would more than desired?
A friend told me that the restrictions caused by bending without a mandrel bender are bad.
I've also been told that muffler shops with mandrel benders are few and far between. Is that true?
Suggestions?
