bent pushrod
hey all,
i have a 350 chev that i have bent a pushrod in. The rocker arm then twisted around so it was right off the valve. I replace both the rocker arm and the pushrod, but the rocker again continued to move back across the valve and was going to come adrift again. the motor is only about 300 miles old since a rebuild. it has fuellie heads and the rocker stud appears to be straight. any ideas on what the problem may be??? |

valve
I would say you are in need of a guide plate. If that doesn't work. You would be looking at a bent valve.

What kind of rocker arms?

How does the top of the valve stem look?
Sounds to me, like you rounded it off a bit.

They are standard chev rocker arms. The valve looks ok. would bolt on roller rockers fix the problem, as these are a lot cheaper alternative to setting up guide plates, hardened pushrods, screw in studs etc.?
