bent shock mount

This might be a dumb question. On my 56 Chevy p/up the right rear shock mount is bent so that I have about a half inch height difference from the right
in the shock travel. The truck sits a little lower on the right. Could this be the cause of the lean? Also the springs are new, with about 200 miles on them.
Thanks....

No ,shocks do not hold up truck, springs do. If rear springs are new how about the front?

RE:bent shock mount

Actually, I don't know if it leaned before. It was not running when I bought the truck.I started the frame-off restoration right away.I changed the front springs also but didn't like the way it handled, so now i'm in the process of adding an "TCI" ifs. kit.
One more question. If the frame was bent would I be able to get the frame level on jack stands? With the jack stands the same height the frame is perfectly level side to side.Thanks...

are you using 4 stands , (front rear). if so, and level, i would think you have a bad rear spring. if the 1/2 inch dif. is at the rear, i would swap left for right and see what happens..
