Best 5$ I think I ever spent out in the garage.

I have been thinking about putting up a paper towel dispenser in the garage for quite some time. I had planned on making some cool device from a pair of old connecting rods or something. But I never got around to doing it and went without the dispenser with my roll of paper towels rolling around on the bench and falling on the floor.

The other day I was at the hardware store and grabbed a cheapie plastic dispenser and put it up. I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad I finally did it, it is so darn convenient.

I found that the best place for it was on the back of my garage door being my walls are covered with my "treasures".

It took me less than a minute to open the package, grab a screw driver out of my box and put the thing up. Wham, done, and I can't believe it took me so long to break down and get one.

Hanging up on the door like that works GREAT, it is WAY easier to tear off a sheet. I HIGHLY recommend this little addition to your garage.

Brian

The back of the door is a great place for it.
Its one of those things that I cant remember until I'm in the garage working.
I have a spare set of 6.5DIESEL connecting rods that were left outside(not by me,but they were free) Maybe I should make a conrod dispenser

One good thing about the location I picked is that you can grab it easy while working outside or inside. As I walk out the door to close up for the night I can grab a towel for my last hand wipe as I go into the house. It really has worked out nice.

The best thing I've ever found for towels is an old spring loaded shower curtian rod. I put it between two rafters over my head and when I want one just reach up and pull off as many as you need. The cool thing about the rod is it's long enough to put 3 or 4 rolls of different kinds on the same rod and their easy to load. Slide the old core off, slide the new one on and BAM!

Poncho, remember that Brian is from California where the Gov gets his dollar, tree huggers get their $.50, lawyers their 40% and on and on.

First off I don't go to the "dollar store", it is full of Chinese junk. I believe it was "Rubbermaid" and made here, that would have been my goal at least, I don't remember if I was able to do it.

The 5 dollars also includes the paper towels that are on it. Geeez you guys are a tough bunch.

sqzbox, very good idea, that is thinking!

Brain storms are like the weather, they come and go. Too bad I was gone on my last trip to wal mart, I would have remembered to pick up some more towel's.
