I use to think that was BS, but now I believe it is very possible. Not that all parts had seen time on the assembly line but that the rejects were simply put into the parts system. This makes sense to a degree. Now, it makes sense that GM would do such a stupid thing but it makes no sense in a business point of view. If the parts were no good for the assembly line, the problem needs to be CORRECTED so there are no such parts. And if you have a part that doesn't meet the standards on the assembly line they don't meet the standards of a replacement part sold by your dealer or worse yet installed by your dealer in their repair shop. It is just a moronic way to look at business. But we have all seen many examples of large companies making moronic policies.
