The best BBC crankshafts
Looking to rebuild the motor in my jet boat this winter and was wondering what is the best forged crank for a BBC? There are so many to choose from that makes it difficult to chose. Currently the boat has a BBC 396 but am looking to switch over to a 454 building a 496. Your thoughts are needed and please explain why you recommend what you do. It will make my decision easier. Here is what I am looking at so far.
Eagle 4340 Scat 4340 Howards 5140 Callies 4340 Manley 4340 Thanks

Cola is no longer around IIRC, although here are still some old stock shelved around. Howards, Callies, Crower, Manley, SCAT, Lunati are all good pieces. Kellog is the best, but very expensive.
