Post Best brake line size??

OK, I'm working on a '46 Chevy Panel truck. Had a fit with MC for a 7" booster that was in the truck, gave up and got a 9" booster/MC from a S-10 truck, also got proporitioning(can't spell LOL) valve from 1/2 ton truck, thats what mine is so I figured it would work or be real close. Now I'm thinking brake lines and wonder whats the best size. Should I run 1/4 to the T's on the axles then drop to 3/16 or 1/4 to the valve and 3/16 the rest of the way? As you can tell I'm building this brake system from nothing and I've never tried this before so any help I can get would be great.

Thanks
Oh, In case it matters the front is Mustang II 11" disc and the rear is narrowed Ford 9" with 11" drums

Makes absolutely no difference in performance. Use whatever fits your system best.
