Movies
Vanishing Point, Le mans, American Graffiti, The California Kid, Two lane blacktop, just to get started.
These had good normal cars, Blacktop was kind of cheezy but has a cult following. The Kid was classic bad sherriff, hot rodder dual. Vanishing point was just plain fun. Another I can't remember the name of had one of the best chase scenes ever, a Pantera running down a Vette along a winding river road. Le-mans was the best race movie ever made IMO, Grand Prix was ok as well. Both are very dated now. Some great car movies I have seen are
"Vanishing Point" "Gone in 60 seconds (the first one)" "Smokey and the bandit (1-2-3)" "Factory Five Racing Promotional DVD" "Ronin"(Car chase) "American Graffiti 1 and 2" "Hot Rod Girl" (old movie in B/W with some nice hot rod of the 50's) "Starsky and Hutch" (the new one) "Bullit" (14 minutes chase, the rest is boring) Thats about all the movies I have. There might be some that I saw but I don't remember the names. |

I like Vanishing Point, Gone in 60 Seconds, Smokey and the Bandit (I,II &III), and Cannonball Run (I and II). Born to Run was pretty good in my book, too. Too bad it's a Ford movie.... LOL!
I can't remember for sure the name of a moonshiners' movie, I think it was White Lightening, that was really cool too. |

Smokey and the Bandit 3 sucked.
I just watched a movie last night, called Duel, has this nasty old semi (it was so awesome) chasing some salesman in a valiant through rural california. I'm really glad I got to see that. |

Hollywood Knights, American Graffetti, The Wraith. Most of the movies mentioned in this post require someone that wants to sit thru them. BUT.......man what cooooool cars. I think I enjoyed Hollywood Knights and American Graffetti the best. Two lane black top is cool because when you watch that movie, you can tell that none of the sounds are dubbed in like todays movies. It ruins alot of todays movies. Listening to that engine rev, and that gearbox whine in that 55, man thats good stuff.

68Velle, I saw Duel too the other day on Télé-Québec. I thought it was a good movie but some scene were unrealistic. I also found the actor was really bad
. But I found the truck was pretty good looking.

2 FAST 2FURIOUS ALL THE WAY!!
Jk, that movie was pretty stupid, but that chick in it was pretty hot! But a good car that I thought had some nice cars in was Dazed and Confused, it wasn't all about cars but it was a funny movie! |
