Best choice in ford 9" rear disc's

I was going to do the crown vic rear disc swap, but the hun locating ring, spacer, and parking brake issue's make it a real pain. What is a real good choice in rear disc brake kits that do not run $800.00 like a Willwood?

Thanks

What I did on mine was to use the Ford Explorer disks and I think the whole deal was about 200 for parts and I had some expense at the rear end builder to have the proper ends welded on my housing to use those brakes. Advantages are I have a parking brake setup that works and replacement rotors and calipers/pads are over the counter at NAPA.. works for me..

Of course I needed to do some scrounging at the pick-a-part to find my pieces..

X2 what OneMoreTime says, I used the Explorer brakes on my '32 but I got them new from Curries for $400....the rotors don't come drilled unless you pay extra, I drilled mine at home.

exployer disc, the 9" big bearing ends get turned 45* and it's a bolt on after that..
the svo kit ford sold was nothing more than 1995 explorer brakes..
and the e brake is drum..

My axle ends were taken care of when my guy narrowed the rear. I paid 150.00 for an 96 Explorer rear end and got all the brake pieces off of that..Got lucky and the disks and calipers are in good shape. the rear itself was a posi unit with 3.50 gears from a Ford broncho..I felt it was a good deal to go the way I went as I got all the e-brake cables and bits and peices all in one deal..
