Post Best daily driver to buy?

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of buying a 1968-1971 truck to use as a daily driver.

I'm wondering what your opinion would be as to what the best make would be? GMC? Chevy? Dodge? Ford? Which do you think would be the most reliable?

Thanks in advance.

Beau

Your question kinda' starts in the middle and is trying to working in all directions. They are all good trucks, what you need to focus on is the condition and price. If you find a mint Chevy you'll probably pay dearly for it. On the other hand a Dodge you can probably pick up for a better price. The C/10 has become like the Camaro, people have a tendancy to want to ask too much for them.

the most popular is going to be the Chevy for those years you mentioned. More "repop" parts are on the market for those years and that brand, GMC would be the same for body parts. Ford 64-66 is a nice style also,67 up changed body styles. Dodge would be the least desrable, at least in my end of the world. If you move up one year to a '72 Chevy, you can get disc brakes and 5 hole wheels(I think this is correct, may have been '71). Body style changed again in '73. My personal favorite is the '72, lots of aftermarket repop parts out there, enough to build an entire truck without ever really having one almost. They command a little more money up front, but also if you get ready to sell it, it should bring more.

Well i personally would go with a dodge truck. They look good have room for improvement and are good work horses and all the good ones ive seen can be had for next to nothing.

So pick the mopar(or which ever u think is best suiting of you)
