Best front clip for a 1950 chevy truck

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if the camero front clip is a good choice for my truck. Also any advice about the swap would be great. Are there any videos or books about it? I also was told a S10 might work. Please tell me what you think.
Thanks.

Been discussed many, many times on this board. Do a search. I prefer the fit of a Monte Carlo clip as shown here.

1950 chevy truck clip

Thanks for the great info. Would the frame on the 1955 be the same as my 1950?

In a word, No. There are differences.

Personally I prefer the Mustang II IFS kit from Heidts. You can see one installed on my '53 here. It only one afternoon to do the complete installation.

Hey thanks for the info!

I am tring to decide which way to go with my 50. I am buildin it on the cheap so that is a factor. I do want it to ride great, and most of all be safe. The pictures and info you have is most excellent. I will have to use my lincoln buzz box to weld with so it wont be as pretty as a mig job. well thanks again, and any other advice would be great.

Sorry about that, my Partzheimer's seems to be getting a little worse! The front swap I showed using a Monte won't fit very well on an advance design chassis. Here is what I did for my '53. Keeps the stock suspension, 60,000 miles on a set of tires but I get power steering in the deal. A lot le$$ work than a clip too!

I have put Camaro,GM-G-body(78-88) & Must II under AD trucks. I prefer the G body because it is the same track as the AD & I like the way the trk drives & handles.

I also have the same IFS under my Rolls w/heavier springs.
