Just curious, what is everyone is using for fuel stabilizers? I use Marvels Mystery Oil in my gas at almost every fill. My 77 Chevy PU sat for 3 years in the driveway and the gas was still good.
My understanding is MMO has some fuel stabilizers in it but isn't advertised much for that purpose.
So what products have you used? Good luck or bad luck with any of them?
Never used them. My fuel doesn't stay in the tank more that 2 years. If it is a planned storage Ill drain the tank , then fill it with a electric pump.
you would be surprised how much material will precipitate out of a few gallons of gas over the course of a year, especially with the temperature changes we get around here! I have a big bottle of stabil and put it in anything that sits. Its not very expensive and I don't want to wonder about the gas when I fire something critical up, like my generator.
I stored my SS with a fulltank(10years). I'll take having to pump it out over a tank thats rusting from the inside out..
ofcourse this was before ethnol in the fuel ..
I read it wrong, Yeah , pump it out. It takes 5 min if that.
I stored my car 10 years, charged the battery and went for a drive.
