Best low rumble mufflers?
I have Flowmaster 40's with 2 1/4 pipes. It sonds good but it's not really the sound I'm looking for. What is the best for that low rumble?

Original Hemi mufflers from Chrysler with a set of Turbo Thrush glasspack resonators at the tailpipe. Quiet but retains that low frequency throb that can't be duplicated, still the nicest I have ever heard. Does anyone know if Chrysler still sells them? The sound is not rude at all unlike some flowmaster installs I've heard, maybe I'm getting old.

Smithys don't sound too bad, sounds great when driving hard too!

Hotrodit's right. Smithys are cheap and nothing else has that sound. Bought my first set in 1957.

Flowmaster 40 series mufflers aren't what you need. These mufflers are for typical street use and sound laws capatibility. If thats not a problem then go with American Thunders without dumps and a crossover pipe. Eric
