Best Paint Stripper

Decided to save some money and strip my cab and fenders myself...I actually had it sandblasted 15 years ago and primered and painted it with acrylic lacquer. It's fallen into disrepair and need to be stripped. Many of the over the counter strippers don't soften this paint at all. What have you guys found to to the fastest and most effective.

Thanks,

Slick

Klean Strip Aircraft Finish Remover. Smells like old diapers, works like magic. Cover your eyes and skin, it's nasty stuff.

I've heard the same. GUy I work with swears by it, and he has used it to strip many of TR's.

I tried a can of the automotive stripper and I was not very impressed to say the least.

Klean strip aircraft paint stripper Get the stuff in the gallon thingies. They sell the stuff at auto zone and checker. Also if you have a good air compressor and a die grinder. Get a 3m paint grinder and stripper they are also sold at auto zone and checker. The spray on stuff is a waste only get the brush on. Heres what I did with them 2 tools in 2 about months time. Its gonna take alot of gallons and grinding pads, but its worth the time.

I used POR15 paint stripper & I stripped 3/4ths of my 48 chevy 1ton burb in less than an hour. You just spray it on w/a squirt bottle & it'll start to lift in a few seconds & in just a few minutes its ready to come off. use gloves & protective clothing & eye glasses.......joe

Thanks all..

We do have an auto zone here and I have seen the "old diaper"
stripper.. May check it out. I recently ordered the POR product that preps rusty metal and was pretty impressed with it so I'll read up on their stripper. You can order on line and have it the next day.

Hey Chris...If my rig looked as good as yours stripped....I'd never
paint it!
