|
best way to finish paint job
i just finished with chromabase and chromaclear paint. what grit paper, has minimal peel, what compound and polish and what kind of pads do you recommend i use to get best results with this kind of paint. paint is glacier blue with white racing stripe. thanks

With the old 7500 clear,i used 1500 DRY to SEE how much peel I had and then went wet with 1500 and a block if it's knocking it down and then used 3M PerftctIt II regular cut with a wool pad and then a Black waffle pad and PerfectIt II swirl remover to finish it off. If the peel is bad,I went to 1200 first.
If you have the Trizact pad and disk (3000),thats just easier after the 1500 and then go with the white waffle pad and regular cut,then the swirl remover with the black foam. Finish with the hand glaze.
