Which is better a 1969 Camaro X33 or X77 Z28

Hey guys I have an opportunity to purchase two 1969 Z/28 's and I can't buy 2 of them. On is an X33 and the other is an X77. They both are 4 speeds with original DZ engine and are both comparable in condition.

My question is what one will be more valuable in the long run the X33 or X77? What is the overall difference between the two codes? Thanks for your help.

Both are worth a mint if they are as you claim. It is hard to tell which is worth more, it depends on the options list, and condition.

I once was told those codes meant wether it was built in the LA or the other Plant I think was in Ohio. The 69 Z I once owned had X77 and was verified built not in LA. I was in San Diego at the time and most of the 69's there had X33.

So one was more of a smogger than the other? If one was built in (or built specifically for California markets) it will have about 1974 smog controls and the other would be almost void of smog stuff.

Every Z/28 I saw back in the day had a smog pump and air injection tubes on the exhaust manifolds. That was the extent of the air controls.
